The Story of Us
“For the accuser of our brothers and sistershas been thrown down to earth—the one who accuses thembefore our God day and night. And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamband by their testimony.”Revelation 12:10-11 NLT (emphasis added)
The words of our testimony. It’s hard to argue with a life transformed.
In a culture that finds it so easy to argue and fight, it’s one thing that can’t be disputed—our testimony. It’s our story of what God is doing in us. And it’s powerful.
It’s been a minute since I joined you here. I’m working on a new project—a sort of companion to my book Holy Doubt. It’s a devotional(ish); a book of a different ilk. An honest place for people who are hurting to confront their doubts and questions with truth and hope. Words and thoughts for people journeying through doubt and those who are hurting and questioning and can’t handle tidy ideas for the season they’re in.
I think many of you can probably relate. That’s what brought some of you to this little online community in the first place. With that in mind, I want to hear from you!
I want to know what stories or Bible verses helped you most when you were in a dark season. What did you find most helpful, what hurt the most, or caused you the most pain? What areas do you feel aren’t addressed as they should be or nearly enough? I’d love to get your perspective on this important topic. Feel free to email me or comment below or jump on over to Facebook. Your story might make it onto the pages of my next book!
